Hope- Something people hope for!
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

We often hope for world peace, for world hunger to end, even for our next door neighbor to stop letting his dog use the bathroom on our lawn. Have you even thought that some of us out there just simply hope for hope...

Think about the hope that we ourselves can provide the people around us. We have all certainly managed our way to the position, or place in life we currently live in. The testimonies that we all have are meant to not only to inspire others, but to also give them hope.

Showing others the tough times we have been through, helps others to see that there is still light at the end of the tunnel. That light produces perseverance, and out of perseverance, character develops from pressing on and having faith that we will overcome our hardship. Finally, character gives birth to hope.

As is says in Romans 5:3-5

Not only so, but suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Be the hope that starts this process in another person's life today!

Day_2
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Today, I began to brainstorm what I could do to help the community that I live in. Set aside some time today to think about your location, the people in the are, as well as any needs that can be met. If you know of any possible solutions to your communities current needs, take it a step further and implement that solution.

Leadership can be tough at times. In our efforts to improve the lives of others around us, we often become drained without seeing any positive results. We slowly pull ourselves from the equation and start drawing near to things that make us happier, typically our own interests.

I want to encourage you to persevere in times that the results you want to see are lacking. Sometimes the effects of our leadership can take days or months, even years. In some ways we may never see what impact we have really made. Put your trust in the good that you are doing. Good will result and God will bless all you are doing.

Remember:

Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders. ~Tom Peters

If your focus is to create a following then you are leading in vain. Make it your desire to lead others to leadership. It is ok to have a following, but your intent is not for them to follow, it is for them to learn leadership at its finest!

2009 A New Beginning
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

2008 had its mountains and its valleys, its challenging times and comforting times. With all that we look back on, we can all say that it has brought us to a new starting point. This starting point will bring each of us new opportunities with new choices to make.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to make the most beneficial decisions that I have ever made for not only me, but the world around me as well. It is my hope that many of you will share the same desire to do this by my side. If we, the world, abandoned our selfish desires and turned to one another out of love and compassion, how will we revolutionize life as we know it.

We see death and disease all around us, poverty and despair on the rise. And although we are in search of a cure or a remedy, an easy way out or some sort of quick fix, we have to come to the realization we are the reason for it all. We, the human race, have caused our own suffering.

With faith, I pray to our one true God that we find the strength within us to fight for one another. It is the choice we make, the love we share, the hope we give, that will make a difference in 2009. It will not be the money we acquire, nor will it be the temporary pleasures that we seek.

Starting tomorrow, take one day at a time. Make the best of your day by forgetting what is behind you. The opportunities in front of us may be lost if we are looking in the wrong direction. Encourage one other person to do the same. Tell them they have potential.
